Sheep's Clothing

Reviewed by Dayna Davis, LDSFiles.com Staff Writer

Sheep's Clothing by Josi S. Kilpack. Published by Deseret Book.

Jess is a fifteen year old girl that feels like no one understands her, especially her mother. She is looking for a friend. Someone that can relate. She finds that with her online friends Emily and Colt and slowly she withdraws from her normal life. Then she disappears, with no note or explanation. Her family is frantic to find her and their best leads are from the computer.....

This book was actually really scary. Not in the usual mystery, suspense sense, but in the 'this could happen to you' sense. The author is brilliant in how she warns other families of impending danger. This family did everything right, used every protection they were supposed to, and still the danger got in to their home. As a Young Women's leader - I would really like to have every one of my girls read this book. The only thing that makes me a little cautious is a few short candid comments in the book about intimacy between spouses. While it's a very tame in comparison to what's on television, I still think parents should be able to approve this content. However, my overall thought is that this book is a must read for every teenager I know. It is truly enlightening.
