The Wednesday Letters

The Wednesday Letters by Jason Wright. Published by Shadow Mountain.
Jack and Laurel have been married for 39 years. Each Wednesday of their marriage, Jack wrote Laurel a letter. One evening, Laurel unexpectedly has a heart attack. In terrible health himself, Jack cannot summon the help he needs, and after she is gone, he writes his last Wednesday letter to her before passing away himself.
Their adult children arrive for the funeral to discover the Wednesday letters. They embark on a reading spree to uncover a deep family secret.
I don't often read fiction, but I enjoyed this book. Jason Wright does the right thing as an author by offering questions early in the book that make you intrigued to find out the answers. I felt like I had to keep reading until I found out the answers to two questions. What was the secret to be found in the Wednesday letters? And what did Jack say to Laurel in his final Wednesday letter to her? If these questions are intriguing to you too, pick up this book.
