This is a beautiful book that tells the story of Jesus's birth from the perspective of the innkeeper's wife. The author conveys the message that Mary was probably not alone - giving birth without her family and friends. She must have had help from somewhere. God would have provided help for her.
I thought this was such a touching story that I cried when I read it. The pictures are gorgeous and each chapter is introduced by lyrics of Christmas carols. I'm so happy to be able to add this book to my Christmas collection - and I must say, it's my favorite new Christmas story that I have read this year.
