Interesting story in the Elk Grove, Calif., Citizen notes the 40th anniversary of the LDS meetinghouse in that city. Some charming quotes and recollections from community members who participated in the construction of the building bring back memories of the days when members were asked to contribute financially and physically to the construction of new buildings. "You see how those two bricks are twisted slightly?" one ward member asks. "Well, I helped put them there. Those two bricks didn't really stand out until we painted them."
