INDEPENDENCE, Missouri — Peter Freeman's devotion to Scouting has earned the Independence resident the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to youth. A high priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Freeman recently received the award at the Heart of America Council's annual recognition dinner.
